Peace Where You Least Expect It John 14:27-31

Skip gives a wonderful message on the topic of "Peace". My favorite highlight was when he went over John 14:27, where Jesus promises to give us peace from Him. So we can experience the same kind of peace Jesus did while He was here!

"On countless American gravestones this epitaph could be written: Hurried, Worried, Buried. What a sad way to live! Fear, anxiety, and distress have literally become part of our national culture. Odd, isn't it? Though we have such abundance in this country, most don't experience abundant life—especially as Jesus described it. Sure, everyone has his or her share of trouble and anxieties, but let's consider one of the greatest gifts Jesus gives to followers—the gift of peace!"

Very powerful message yesterday that touched on many subjects including; What about people that seriously say don't "speak things into existence?" Jesus promises to give anything asked for in prayer...what exactly does that mean? In John 14:12 Jesus also say's we can do even greater things than He after He goes to heaven, What does that mean for us?
