What are the privileges of God's employees?

Very powerful message yesterday that touched on many subjects including; What about people that seriously say don't "speak things into existence?" Jesus promises to give anything asked for in prayer...what exactly does that mean? In John 14:12 Jesus also say's we can do even greater things than He after He goes to heaven, What does that mean for us? Skips answers these questions and more while giving enormous encouragement to all who experience this service.

"Most companies have benefits for employees: things like overtime pay, health insurance, and sick pay. In 2 Corinthians 6:1, Paul calls us "workers together with Him" (NLT renders it "God's partners"). We have been called to a high and lofty task—to be His representatives here on earth. You might say we're part of the "family business." So what has God called us to do? And how has He provided for us in terms of resources? In short, what are the benefits of being God's employees"?

Harold Camping admits he went too far!

It's hard to feel bad for someone whose doomsday predictions caused so much anxiety, but 89-year-old Harold Camping's recent admission that he's "flabbergasted" the world didn't end last weekend sounds somewhat pitiful.

"It has been a really tough weekend," Camping said Sunday, after emerging from his Alameda, California home for the first time to talk to a reporter from the San Francisco Chronicle. "I'm looking for answers ... But now I have nothing else to say," he said, adding that he would make a full statement today.

Camping's PR aide, Tom Evans, told the L.A. Times that the group is "disappointed" that 200 million true believers weren't lifted up to heaven on Saturday while everyone else suffered and eventually died as a series of earthquakes and famine destroyed the Earth. "You can imagine we're pretty disappointed, but the word of God is still true," Evans said. "We obviously went too far, and that's something we need to learn from." The group posted 2,000 billboards around the country warning of the rapture, while Camping--an uncertified fundamentalist minister--spread the word on his radio show.

Camping's Family Radio, which airs on 66 U.S. stations, has apparently rebranded itself quickly. Business Insider notes that the station's website has scrubbed all mentions of the Judgment Day. The site previously featured a countdown clock to the May 21 rapture on its homepage.

But the false prediction might not be so easily effaced from the lives of Camping's followers. The L.A. Times writes that Keith Bauer, a 38-year-old tractor trailer driver, took a road trip with his family to see the Grand Canyon before the world ended.

"With maxed-out credit cards and a growing mountain of bills, he said, the rapture would have been a relief," the paper writes.

But Bauer is not angry at Camping for his false prediction. "Worst-case scenario for me, I got to see the country," he told the paper. "If I should be angry at anybody, it should be me."

Robert Fitzpatrick, who spent $140,000 of his life savings to advertise the rapture in New York, said he was dumbfounded when life went on as usual Saturday.

"I do not understand why ...," he told Reuters while awaiting the event in Times Square. "I do not understand why nothing has happened."

An NPR reporter talked to two Camping followers on Sunday. "One man, his voice quavering, said he was still holding out hope that they were one day off. Another believer asserted that their prayers worked: God delayed judgment so that more people could be saved, but the end is 'imminent,'" she reported.

Evans, Camping's PR aide, told NPR he hopes Family Radio will reimburse followers who spent their savings in anticipation of the rapture, but that he can't guarantee it.

Protesters gathered outside Camping's radio headquarters to mock the false prophecy over the weekend. Some of them set aloft a toy cow with balloons to lampoon the idea that a select elite would ascend to heaven. Meanwhile, other religious groups tried to recruit disappointed Camping followers.

Harold camping wrong again

Well it's may 21st, and of course we're all still here...Not a big suprise to me at all. Camping is a false prophet that claims to know things that he clearly doesn't. My question is how do people like this get a following? Why do certain people believe this guy instead of The Bible that they read?

According to the Christian broadcaster, Judgment Day was supposed to bring a massive earthquake, powerful enough to throw open graves, followed by a slow death for all non-believers over the next five months across the globe. He went on to say only 200 million people will be saved and those left behind will die in earthquakes, plagues, and other calamities until Earth is consumed by a fireball on October 21.

This wouldn't be the first time Camping was wrong.

In 1992, Camping wrote a book titled "1994?" about the world coming to an end that year.

He wrote, "When September 6, 1994, arrives, no one else can become saved. The end has come."

He said this earlier apocalyptic prediction didn't come true because of a mathematical error.

"I'm not embarrassed about it. It was just the fact that it was premature," he told The Associated Press last month. But this time, he said, "there is...no possibility that it will not happen."

Camping says his predictions are based on taking direct quotes and stories from the Bible and applying them to numerological formulas. May 21, 2011 is exactly 7,000 years since the flood in the biblical story of Noah's Ark.

The doomsday message has been sent far and wide via broadcasts and web sites by Camping, an 89-year-old retired civil engineer who has built a multi-million dollar nonprofit ministry based on his apocalyptic prediction.

Is May 21st this Saturday Judgement day?

Of course not. If you believe in the Bible then you should also believe what is written in it. Jesus has said no one will know the date except the Father alone.

In Matthew 24:36 Jesus said, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,but only the Father."

Harold Camping is a false prophet that has been proven wrong before but continues to believe that he knows what no one else does. I remember his last failed prediction well, it was on my birthday in the 1990's. Some people I knew believed him and actually quit their jobs and school etc..

1 Thessalonians 5

"Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."
So the only thing I DO know is that it WON'T happen on May 21 cause some are expecting it.

Watch Crystal Lewis and her daughter Izzi Ray perform for Mothers Day

Great message today about how to know God. Some of us need to re-locate God others need to know who God really is. After you watch this service you will have a much better understanding and dots WILL BE connected, I promise! Special guest Crystal Lewis and her daughter Izzi Ray lead worship in a special mothers day service. Her 16 year old daughter is extremely talented as she sings and plays a song she wrote.
What a thought—that a mere human can know God! The agnostic asserts this is impossible. The atheist insists that the very idea is an arrogant and purely metaphysical pursuit. But one of the reasons Jesus came was to reveal God's character and nature clearly and perfectly! Let's consider two roadblocks to knowing God and four resources that help us know Him better.

BIN LADEN FINALLY CAUGHT

OSAMA BIN LADEN NOW IN HELL
Hamas condemns killing of “holy warrior” bin Laden
How the U.S. tracked down bin Laden
Minute-by-minute: The operation to get bin Laden

The long American nightmare is over. Osama bin Laden has been brought to justice, killed in Pakistan yesterday by U.S. commandos after a decade-long hunt. Justice has been served. But let’s be clear: bin Laden is not now in Paradise with 72 virgins.

Bin Laden was a fanatical Radical Sunni Muslim. He hated the Lord Jesus Christ. He hated and cursed Christians and Jews. He murdered Christians and Jews and others; recruited, trained and deployed thousands of others Muslims to murder Christians, Jews and others; and pursued a life of sheer evil defiance of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Unless he truly and sincerely repented at the last possible moment and received Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior — unlikely given the speed of the raid but still hopefully so — he is now burning in the fires of Hell.

In the days ahead, I’ll relay as Joel Rosenberg analyzes how the death of bin Laden could affect the U.S., Israel and the world. But it is important to first understand the conclusion of his life. Bin Laden was deeply religious and deeply sincere, I have no doubt. But he was sincerely wrong, and the Bible teaches there is a consequence to defying the One True God.

Hell is not a topic much discussed in our world today, even by many Christians. There are some pastors that choose not to teach what the Bible says about Hell. One high-profile American pastor, Rob Bell, recently published a book — Love Wins – denying that Hell is real. “A staggering number of people have been taught that a select few Christians will spend forever in a peaceful, joyous place called heaven, while the rest of humanity spends forever in torment and punishment in hell with no chance for anything better,” writes Bell. “It’s been clearly communicated to many that this belief is a central truth of the Christian faith and to reject it is, in essence, to reject Jesus. This is misguided and toxic and ultimately subverts the contagious spread of Jesus’ message of love, peace, forgiveness, and joy that our world desperately needs to hear.”

As difficult as it is to conceive of such a place of eternal torment — indeed, no one wants to think about it — its reality is exactly what the Bible teaches. Indeed, since Jesus was God incarnate — all-seeing, all-knowing, all-loving — He knew all too well the reality of Hell. He came to Earth to pay the penalty for our sins and to rescue all who would follow Him from having to spend their eternity there. In fact, Jesus taught more about Hell than He did about heaven. Why? Because He loved all people so much that He wanted to save the from eternal damnation. He wanted them to understand the choice of rejecting the Messiah. And He wanted to give each of us a way of escape, if only we would say yes by faith.

•Jesus said in Matthew 10:28, “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.”
•Jesus said in Mark 9:43, “If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life crippled, than, having your two hands, to go into Hell, into the unquenchable fire.”
•Jesus said to corrupt, hypocritical religious leaders in Matthew 23:33, “You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of Hell?”
•Jesus said in John 3:16-18, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish [die and be condemned to suffer in Hell forever and ever and ever], but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
•Jesus said in Matthew 10:32-39, “Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven…..He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life who lose it [in Hell], and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it [in heaven].”
Hell is real. And it’s not only mass murderers like bin Laden who go there. The Bible says that unless we receive Jesus as our Savior and accept His payment for our sins, we will all end up there. May you choose eternal life instead. Why not today?
